4 PARADOX (from the editor's typewriter): In the first issue, Raym Washington's article: "Some Thoughts on Time Travel" was voted first almost unanimously. Readers agreed that it was unquestionably the best article Raym has turned out for Cthulhu knows how long. Pics were well-liked, 'specially Walt's for his "Voyage" piece, tho' the story itself was buried in a deluge of curses. Next issue will be mailed about the middle of December. Time-travel in the current pros: "Barrier" by Anthony Boucher Not exceptional, but better than average. Nicely worked-out future world, nice characterization, though not so good plot. It's the old "someone from the future changes the past, and thus becomes non-existent, so he never came into the past, so he didn't change it, therfore existed and came into the past etc." plot. Worth Reading. Sept., 1942, Astounding. Please Write! Frank
