Letters from Mother-- Saturday being beautiful I washed all the bedding And even aired pillows Father played golf That was good. However He had a headache Sunday but helped me Finish cleaning your room I still haven't gotten To Kay's. It will be A few day's job Doing it all alone Sunday it rained The entire day So I was glad There's the wedding on the 12th I was so sure There'd be mail From you today None came Kay was coming home And changed her plans This year again I put up Indian Corn at the side Of the front door Six ears of lovely Corn! Yesterday I Caught the culprit A squirrel has eaten Two of them lean and Is well in two more When he is finished I'll just take it down I suppose It's a beautiful day Warm in the sun Air is cool. We Did a little shopping This morning which Included new glasses For father Thank goodness I met Karen Beymer And her new baby who Is walking now I held Fritz so She could pet him Time to get busy I miss hearing from You this week I hope you make a Point of getting rest Even though you study Late and have coffee To keep you going The Purdue football Coach just came down With hepatitus The garage is painted A man is coming about New doors. Kay will be Home this week-end Father cut his hand Mail is scarce These days no Doubt you are busy Rain rain Now colder weather I hope it stays dry This week-end so The painting is finished And we do the strom Windows. We're so late This year. The man didn't Come to see what we Need for garage doors Maybe this week-end It gets so lonely To stay at home Even as busy as I am The days seem long I know my needs are Changing as I never Felt that was a few Years ago I plan on working at Home every Thursday Before the Holidays Of course the Wedding will mean A trip into town! On Tuesday I saw Danny Clark. He's The greatest kid He's going to make Some girl a great Husband. Anyway he was Driving by going to Pick up his mother and Stopped to talk to me He's at Fort Rucker Alabama and luckily Didn't pass some exam So he's in the office Doing clerical work Like making out checks He's home because his Father's in the hospital Danny said the storm Windows weren't up and He's full out of paint He said to say hello to you Kay was home Came with some People I didn't Meet. One boy Carried her luggage I defrosted steaks And baked a pie For dinner. She Asked if they could Eat. Nothing happened Saturday they Slept all day and Sunday a concert And back to school So Monday I made Beef stew out of steak Where will you Be on your Birthday? Liz Brauer a Woman?
