April 5, 45 France Dearest Evelyn, It is way past my bedtime, but I just have to get a letter written. I'm so darned far behind now. I've been getting plenty of good practice setting up tents. I'm supposed in a rest area, but it isn't much of a rest. We keep moving and setting up pup tents then bigger tents then back again. Uusually in the rain so that all our equipment gets good and wet. Already I've caught a good cold. I suppose you are back in Davenport by this time. Hope graduation went ok. You
