April 15, 45 Dearest Evelyn, I seem to have been neglecting my letter writing lately, but I'll try and remedy that now. I'm still in a rest area taking things easy. Just passing the time taking hikes, drilling, running problems etc. Nice rest huh? I'm really tickled that you are finally through your schooling. I got your announcement yesterday and two letter from you tonight. Pretty swell. They were the ones which you wrote just before leaving St. Louis and the one after reaching Davenport. I'm anxious to get the picture now. So you lead the way in and out at commencement. Can't say,
