May 6, 1945 Dearest Evelyn, Sunday night and time for another week to start. Gosh, how I hate to think of doing this same stuff over and over. Well Evelyn, its about over over here. It just doesn't see possible does it? The big question is what happens to us now. If only the Japs were out of the way. It is another one of those swell midnight picnic nights. It's nice and warm without out much moon. I'm really looking forward to receiving that picture of yours. I need a good morale builder. So you are having a vacation. I've forgotten what one is.
