have you love me. Evelyn, what an idiot I was. I wished you a happy birthday a month too early. I was so darned happy over the rest of the letter that I thought it was July 3 rather than Aug 3. Better early than late I guess. See how you affect me? This is probably all mumbo jumbo, but I can hardly stay awake. This darned candle keeps flickering around. Sure be glad when my lamp gets here from home. Eleven o'clock aready! My golly how the time flys by. Played off for the soft ball title and got beat last evening. I guess we did ok otherwise though. The wind hasn't been blowing for the last couple of days so we have gotten over our dusty fever. Probably start again now that I've said that.
