July 9, 1945 My Dearest Evelyn, Another evening and a July one at that. I'm a little partial to July evenings after our picnic on one of them last year. Darling, nearly a year has passed since our night together. I've been trying to remember the exact day, but I can't. Can you help me any? Be nice to know for sentimental reasons. Little did I know how important it would become. Just got your July 1 letter and what a swell letter it was. I just sort of choked up when I read the part telling me that you loved me. Thats just how happy I am Evelyn. I can't begin to tell
