III. I go on guard in about an hour down at the Col.'s house. Of all the places, I have to get that. Darling, I'm afraid I'm going to have to close for now. My mind just isn't functioning this evening. Maybe its the heat or perhaps I'm just not in a good mood for letter writing. Honey, I do hope I get a letter from you in the morning. They mean so darned much to me. Right now my morale is about knee high to a worm. Regardless of heat and moods Evelyn, I love you more and more.
