I'd missed your birthday. I'm terribly sorry Mom. Not much I can do about it now. Here's hoping you had a happy birthday anyway. Ken should be getting to wherever he is going about now. Not a very good way to start a New Year I'm afraid. I owe so many letters, but I hate to write until I get my new address. I hear they are going to hold up the 31st Engr. mail in New York after Dec 22 so I don't want people writing me after that anyway. Had a letter from Evelyn the last time we had mail and she sent me the clipping from the Register.
