Wed. A.M. Feb 13, 1946 Dear Folks, I'm a few days late in writing this week, but I'm more or less on a vacation right at present. A friend of mine and myself got a seven day furlough together and it was to a ski resort. The place is near Salzburg. The nearest village is Zell am See. The house we are staying at is right smack on top of a mountain. In order to get here, you have to take a cable car up the mountain. You know what they are, one of those things that hang way up in the air and rides on a cable.
