I do have an awful lot of letters to write. You see, I had twenty-three waiting for me when I got back. Your's was one of them. Don't feel to badly about your writing. I was able to make it out. Its not the best, but who am I to talk? I acknowledge Betty's "hello" and give her one back for me if you please. I still haven't gotten an answer to my letter to Joan. You did know she was in Colorado didn't you? This is Sunday night or commonly called "Blue night." I always get that way when I think of another week starting. I don't know how long I'll be here Evelyn. All I know is that I'm ready to go now that I've been home. Anything to get out of Alabama. I sincerely hope it isn't two years before I see you again to Evelyn. Maybe, if everything goes right, I'll be home to stay, but that is almost too much to hope for. It was really grand seeing you even if it was for such a very short time. I'm sorry this has to be so short, but the lights go out soon and I have to get straightened around for Monday morning. Love, Carroll
