The meals were another laugh. We ate breakfast and supper after dark so the enemy couldn't see us, also we couldn't find the chow truck. We ate breakfast at 4:00 & supper at 11:00. At noon we had a bag lunch of three sandwiches. You can see that I didn't gain weight. I did get a break the second week for I was put to work instructing new men to fire the mortar. It was a darned sight better than what I had been doing as I have said, it was a lucky break. We got back about Sat. noon and I've been sleeping most of the time since being back. I went to bed early last night and got up this morning at 8:00 to eat breakfast then I went back to bed. Nice huh? This afternoon we played a little football and pitched some horse shoes. Right now I'm back in bed trying to write lying on my stomach. Its not to easy. I guess that is good enough to get us mostly up to date again. I'm really sorry I couldn't write you sooner, but I just couldn't.
