That was certainly too bad about [Lem Korning?]. Did Rex ever get home? I did get mail in the field that last two weeks, but I was unable to write any. As you can probably guess, I'm way behind in my writing. Sort of looks like Richland isn't doing to well, but as long as the kids work hard I guess thats all we can ask. I'd sure like to see another game. Its cold as heck here at nights now. In fact I'm under three blankets right now. Two would be plenty, but I want to make sure. Well Evelyn, bad as I hate to, I'd better close and try and get another letter written before light out. I'll try and not be so long between letters now. Goodnight and Love, Carroll
