Sat Night Oct 28, 1944 Dearest Evelyn, Looks like I'm a little late in answering again, but I really have a good excuse. I've been running myself ragged this past week. All I can say is, the next time you hear from me I'll be someplace else, I don't think I need to say more. This will be short, but I'll beg off if I may until I get to wherever I'm going. I haven't done much this past week as we have been restricted to the company area all the time. Evelyn, I'm sorry, but my mind is a complete blank tonight. We weren't supposed to write anyway, but I enjoy your letters so much that I thought I'd better answer if I wanted to receive anymore. Maybe I'm thinking too much of home tonight for it will probably be a long time before
