good idea of what the town is like. I'm getting used to the English money although it had me fooled for awhile. It is really funny. You have a whole hand full of money and you hardly have enough to buy a sandwich. I spent my twenty-first birthday dinner eating K rations. Really a big time don't you think? Haven't had any mail for about three weeks but I hear we have some coming soon. I sure hope so. I owe everyone letters now and I don't know if I'll ever get caught up. I don't know what happens now that I'm over here. Right a present it looks like we will be training here for a little while, but you can't tell. I don't care much for the climate here. It isn't cold, but its always cloudy and damp. You don't know when it will start raining. My address has changed again, but I think this is the last time. I'm afraid I'd better sign off and get busy at another letter. Oh yes, air mail is much the best to use. It only takes a 6-cent stamp for overseas. I nearly forgot to tell you. It travels faster than V-mail to. All for now. Sorry to have to close, but all I can think of to write is---Love, Carroll
