Middle Earth page four 1 [photo of man half hidden by door putting up or reading a page on a different door] a [photo of sign stating "OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT" with arrow underneath pointing to the left] HOWARD EHRLICH against the "Pope!?" 2 [photo of back of a man standing in front of another man] Professor Howard Ehrlich (CK SP) (Sociology), of the New University Conference, attempts to hang an NUC Broadside on University President Bowen's door (1). Before you can say "Down with the Pope", the University's Lawyer appeared and challenged the hanging (2) The lawyer, overjoyed at the opportunity to get his picture in the MIDDLE EARTH, let Prof. Ehrlich help him strike a flattering pose. Shelley had a hard time keeping pace, and that's why the picture's are a little blurred. We hope the administrators paid close attention to the NUC thought that no provision of the student code should be inapplicable to the faculty. It may be that Howie & Co. are too busy thinking up ways to apply all the provisions of the student code to the faculty. (Ed.) photos --- Shelley Blum 3 [photo of two men, a shorter one in black on the left looking at the camera, and a taller one on the right turned and looking towards the shorter one]
