WHAT IT IS: A private, voluntary, tax exempt organization of individual members who live in Greater Atlanta, who pay annual dues, elect officers, serve on committees, give money, and join with fellow citizens to enlarge the "coalition of conscience" to bring about better human relations in our community. WHAT ITS RESOURCES ARE: Director's salary currently paid by the Unitarian-Universalist Service Committee, but all other expenses paid out of funds from individual contributions. WHAT IT NEEDS: $20,000 to fill increasing demands for more information, more human relations education, more opportunities for friendship, more preparation as Metropolitan Atlanta, with the rest of the nation, faces inevitable changes. WHO RUNS THE COUNCIL: Members elect 5 Officers and 20 Directors for 2-year terms. This Board of Directors is solely and completely responsible for the policies and program, and the staff works under its direction.
