Attached is a new GE Employee Relations booklet which you are sure to find helpful in your committee work. It is called, “At Work in Industry Today.”
We are most hopeful that these 50 case stories of Negroes who are making significant career progress in General Electric will serve as an inspiration to others, both inside and outside the Company. The emphasis in each case is on the essential ingredients of schooling, training and personal effort.
All 50 of the employees who cooperated in tell their own experiences did so in the hope that other Negroes would be encouraged to lift their career sights and to work and study toward greater job and community responsibilities.
The basic theme behind these case stories is one that should be better understood by the Negro community and by all school and civic organizations who are interested in job opportunities for minority groups.
