[handwriting in upper right corner] letter to all Com. members plus Fred Savily BURLINGTON COMMISSION ON HUMAN RIGHTS November 7, 1968 TO: Commission members FROM: Dorothy Schramm, Temporary Secretary SUBJECT: International Human Rights Year-UN Celebration At our meeting September 25th at the City Hall it was agreed that our Commission would participate in the Celebration by sharing a booth with the NAACP and by each Commission member promoting attendance through his own organizations and church. Enclosed are flyers to post on bulletin boards (please add following information: Exhibits and Entertainment beginning 7 p.m. Program and Speaker at 8 p.m.). The most effective promotion is to include these flyers in mailings to church and organization membership. They are available in quantity for this purpose from Mr. White, 907 South Starr Avenue or Mrs. Bracewell, 1601 Division Street. Their telephone numbers, respectively, are 4-7739 and 4-4449. Bring your family and friends to hear Harry Golden, enjoy foreign foods, and learn about the Burlington Human Rights Commission at our booth. SEE YOU ON THE 20TH! ! Reminder: The next regular meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 26th at the City Hall. DS:rh Enclosure
