UCCM, IOWA CITY JULY, 1971 IDEAS ISSUES INVOLVEMENT IDEAS: "..We (Campus Ministers) are troublers of the status quo, for I think we are called to raise issues for reconsideration and to stand with others who raise important questions about the directions of both higher education and the whole society." YET--WHO IS BEING INFORMED? WHO IS DISCUSSING IT? Nicholas Johnson says: "Its fate is now being determined in a grim political and economic struggle with the giant interests whose power it challenged--the broadcast industry and the telephone companies...Almost no one speaks for the public." There is room for a prophetic word od two from each of us toward the structures being formed for us to inhabit for generations. Reference: PROBE, UMHE pub., No. 5, p. 2. Copies at Office.
