The program, entitled "Congress on Health Care," will include workshops concerning obstacles in identifying unmet health needs in the county, problems in dealing with the needs and determination of responsibility for meeting those needs. The Rev. Roger Simpson of the United Campus Christian Ministry is coordinating the program which is open to the public. The council was reorganized Jan. 15 and currently is forming a coordinating unit to encourage wide participation in resolving health problems. The objectives of the Council are as follows: - Serving as a forum to provide discussion of the issues relating to health programs and activities. - Providing a mechanism for the study of identified health problems. - Interpreting the health activities to the community. - Encouraging partnership of private and public efforts in the promotion of health. - Evaluating the existing programs and establishing priorities. Presently two coordinating groups are being formed, one by the Johnson County Health Council and other by United Community Services.
