On behalf of the Johnson County Health Council, I wish to invite you and members of your organization to the annual meeting of the Johnson County Health Council.

The meeting date is Thursday, April 22, from 7:30-10:00 P.M. at the Public Library, in the public meeting room.

We are arranging a workshop on health concerns in Johnson County, under the title "CONGRESS ON HEALTH CARE".  Invitations are being extended to all public and private health-oriented organizations and groups in Johnson County, as we can identify them.  In addition, invitations are going to a variety of citizens who have an interest in health care issues.

It is the intent that all persons attending will consider themselves leaders and participants in seeking to evaluate the current status of health care in Johnson County.  In fulfilling our mandate under the by-laws, we are seeking to "serve as a forum to provide discussion of the issues relating to health programs and activities; to provide a mechanism for the study of identified health problems; to interpret the health activities to the community".

In terms of the agenda for the evening of April 22, we are arranging for maximum discussion and in-put by all who attend, so that we can all listen to one another and decide how to improve, through fuller cooperation, the health care of all citizens in Johnson County.

Enclosed is a questionaire seeking to stimulate thought about a few crucial areas of common concern.  It would be helpful if you and other members of your organization (where this is possible) would consider these and bring some report to the meeting.

We earnestly seek your attendance and leadership.  Would you indicate on the enclosed card, or by a phone call, whether you can attend, and the names of others who can be expected.
