Johnson County Health Council Mrs. Mary Conaster, President 3116 Alpine Ct, Iowa City Monday, October 11, 1971 Dear Members & Friends of the Johnson County Health Council: First, an important announcement: THE FALL MEETING OF THE JOHNSON COUNTY HEALTH COUNCIL, will be THURSDAY, OCTOBER 28, 7:30 - 10:00 P.M., at the meeting room of the PUBLIC LIBRARY. Please be present, with your friends and colleauges, to help us consider matters that are both interesting and critical for the improvement of health care to this area. Second, we are enclosing some materials which will help each of us prepare to participate and plan more intelligently. BRING THESE WITH YOU, SINCE WE ARE TRYING TO CONSERVE PAPER, ENERGY, AND EXPENSE. Enclosures include: A. The Agenda: This is a tentative agenda, and of course other items can be added. We trust reports can be made from, at least, the areas listed. The persons making the reports may vary from the person named. Our time is short to cover so much, so we will try to keep moving with all due expendiency from item to item. The last item, the Task Force report by Dr. Ian Smith, is considered the major part of the program because that group has been very active, and has some important recommendations to make. B. Summary of some happenings in health care in Johnson County, since last spring. All items cannot be included so remind us of omissions. Third, please feel free to call any of us on the planning committee to make any in-put you wish - in order to make it an effective, meaningful assembly on October 28: Mary Conatser, 338-5997, Geraldine Busse, 351-8465, Roger Simpson, 339-2187. Again, we hope for maximum intellectual and emotional involvement of each one attending. So please bear with us as we week to move quickly from one methodology and structure to another during the evening. We hope we can keep flexible, too, so that suggestions for changes can be incorporated without fragmenting the wholistic approach we seek. So, see you, Thursday, Oct. 28th, Mrs. Mary Conatser, President Johnson County Health Council
