OBJECTIVES, summarized, p. 2ff: a) Organize Drug Council on long term basis (Chart, p 6, shows representatives from: Dept. of Health, Dept. of Public Safety, Dept. of Social Services, Office of Planning & Pgm., Crime Commission, Youth Coordinator, Office of Economic Opportunity, Dept. of Public Instruction, Vocational Rehab., Attorney General, (Pharmacy Bd), (Mental Health Authority) b) Overcome Adverse public reaction c) Obtain valid data on scope of problem d) Educational-Prevention: conduct intensive trng. seminars. 300 trained. e) Inform, assist citizens and pgms. Identify & summarize active pgms. Identify resource personnel. f) Inform, assist citizens and pgms. Newsletter for working personnel. List materials available and how to get them. "Drug Bus" with Kiwanians. Meet individuals and groups to establish programs and do training. Work for federal funding. g) Enforcement-Legal Aspects: help modernize statues, etc. For effective coordination of enforcement with Dept. Public Safety. Insure enforcement capability at local level: inform session, courts, re laws. 2. The State is to be organized into DISTRICTS. JOHNSON CO. IS DIST. X. 3.
