LEPRECHAUN 7 "Story Behind the Fanegative[[?]]" Forry does a 'Mr Scratch' for Lep [[referencing a photo to the right of the text]] <<Gee __ Forry is looking like the devil these days, isn't he? ... ed>> 4E THE CONQUEST by ROSCO E. WRIGHT I Boy beneath the stars Homage paid their beaming; Wondering at their beckoning fires, Began he then his dreaming. Wistfully whispered he, "Life, the stars for me." II Peered he with youthful hope Starward, a route to find. Through Darkness must he grope, Yet Star-thoughts drove the mind Of him who vowed over, "I'll lose my goal lever." III Burning away his youth, Tramping the skeptic land, Searching ever for Truth, Flick'ring interest he fanned. Futureward turned his face; He would span outer space. IV Grimly, through dark'ning strife To finish the task begun, Gallant, he went through life. Then light from fair Hope's Sun; Fate spoke, one precious line, "Success may be thine." V Rockets' thunder pealed; Men to space went in madness; Starry void past reeled, Lifting hearts with gladness. Mighty and free Crossed they the star sea. VI Lost 'mid Martian sands, Thirsting, slowly dying, Clasped in Death's dark hands, His gallant life fast flying, Happily whispered he, "With the stars leave me."
