I am almost tempted to cry "for shame", Don, I really thought you were bigger than that. What's happened tot he great American principle of free speech? I grant your right tosay "kick 'em out", but I disparage your doing so because it is a denial of the right of these other fans to say what they think as well. But I dowant to thank you, Don, for giving us a chance to read the swell poetry you put into Phantagraph.

GUTETO: Darling Morojo, IT AIN'T SCIENCE FICTION! But, who the heck cares. It is words from one of Fandom's Finest Femmes, and that's all we really care about. But I wish you could include some little personal observations about this and that. You have a fine mind, among your many other attributes, and we could use well some of your wisdom among us. Give us Esperanto PLUS Morojo, and we'll be happier.

TWILIGHT: A really beautiful cover. Too bad the girl's face wasn't a little better done, and that her back-line isn't quite right. Otherwise it was almost 100%. Back cover also a grand pic, and a good repro job. I've said my say elsewhere about Joe's leaving Fandom,and coming back.

STF HASH: Was glad to get the UNK index. And enjoyed the hash, although I prefer a a soft-poached egg on my hash. And just a mere touch of garlic.

CALIFORNIA MERCURY: Joe, don't sell your collection. A few years from now, you'll wish you had it back.

UNFAMOUS FANTASTIC MYSTERIES: It is good to be reminded again of the fine old masterpieces that are, as the editor says, often forgotten because they were only short stories, and not novels or N-ettes. Ton loud cheers, Joe, for this one.

SCI-FIC VARIETY: The Old Chinee shows he has another ace up his mandarin-gowned sleeve. Nice little mag of this and thata. But a correction, please. NOVA is published by Al Ashley and Jack Wiedenbeck, with help f rom Abby Lu Ashley and Evans, and NOT with the Evans name first. And that's not just modesty speaking --- the firm is made up that way. Doc Lowndes' story of how a pro-editor works, is intensely interesting, and will tend to make this fan, at least, less critical of the prozine when it isn't just up to his personal desires and expectations.

READER AND COLLECTOR: Always one of my favorite ishes in the mailing even though I don't quite agree with HCK about The Importance of Hisses. Do any of you remember a little yarn I had in a recent ECLIPSE? in which I have Heck no chance for a yowl. I had the devil say: "What
