and who, is doing d--mned good work." We owe him this gift suggested, as we are constantly pouring more and more work upon him each month. It is through the offical prgan and its editor that our membership has shown much increase. Higgs is not only loyal and well like [sic] in the NFFF, but also in the FAPA and SAPS - plus five amateur press associations that he is a member of. He served in various offices in the ajay groups." - and so, we are asking you to send your donation NOW to K.M. Carlson, 1028 Third Avenue; Moorhead, Minnesota and "ear-mark" it TNFF EDITOR-FUND - but do it at once, as we want to purchage [sic] the mimeograph and have it delivered in time for his birthday November 8. Please don't let us down - and too, hush, hush is the word. Another little suggestion - why not each of us send him a birthday card? Be kinda nice too. ********* THAT FELLOW HIGGS! MORE EGOBOO CONCERNING HIM! You have read and heard about it before, and again in this months [sic] issue of TNFF - and it's true. I dropped over to see how the o. o. was getting along with his EDITORS EFFORTS and STF. ALBUM, and the stacks upon stacks of finished zines would make the LASFS discontinue their fine official organ. At the deadline, and I believe he will make it - he will have ready 150 copies of THE EDITORS EFFORTS. This is sorta a cobozine [?], all his own - separating it into various zines. One, the ARTZINE has scores and scores of good art work by various NFFF members. Another, the POEMZINE, just full of nice poems - then there is FANMAG consisting of stories, poems, drawings, etc. and etc. - then GAMNAF "a surprise", and LETTERZINE, jammed full of letters from you all - also another or two zines - and the best part of it, you folks can still send in material for those zines. PLEASE DO, as he is working so hard to give NFFF something. OH, I forgot, KIMIKZINE, packed full of comics. By the way, you artists and writers, why not help out by putting your contributions on stencil, and send MANY. After all is finished, EDITORS EFFORTS will sell for ONE BUCK, the proceeds going to NFFF - and we need more that $155 to even get the printers to touch that HART book. Send the dollar to Carlson AT ONCE so as YOUR NAME WILL BE ON THE HONOR ROLL IN EDITORS EFFORTS. - and now, the STF. ALBUM. Coming rather slow, just because members do not want another Philcon Memory Book - that is the memories of not receiving it after one years waiting - but this plucky little editor is hell bent for Lexington to finish the job started (he is Irish - and won't give up) and is still begging all fanzines. Many have heard his call, and are willing to help, but the od [?] wants to do a good job for his fellow members, and is still pleading, so I decided to have STF. MAGLET (this is just a rough sample for egoboo purposes) hid among the leaves of STF. ALBUM. A new offer is being made to all associations and clubs, so please note. IF the OFFICERS and MEMBERS of these clubs and associations will cut 8 stencils, and send in to Higgs, he will mimeo & furnish paper for same "FREE OF CHARGE" this for the STF. ALBUM, and the proceeds go to NFFF - the cost of the book $1. Higgs plans on about 200 or better pages for STF. ALBUM and around 150 for EDIT-
