Saving...
have spent more money to throwing a party than they do for the S-S population of Iowa. The study was to be concluded in one year, I came on and found that the study cannot possibly be accomplished in one year. But the Senators promised our S-S people to get involved, that we would only have this thing this task force for one year. So now they are trying to cut us short. I went to the Governor in December, we went in December, he recognized the need for atleast another year and he recommended that we be appropriated $45,000 to conclude our study. Unfortunately we don't have that support from our legislators. The sub-committee and appropriate committee has recommended that we be given $10,000 to conclude our study in a 6 month period. So, with that I feel that we can rightly state that we have not made our presence felt in Iowa and our Chicano Movement in Iowa is still in it's # 1 stage, # 2 stage. Still with very few people to get involved and it's going to require these few people to get involved. So, with that I think that if we all can do something we should be able to accomplish something. I would be glad to get in to specifics of our findings with individual but at this time Thank-you very much Applause Juan Cadena:
