JANUARY 8 -20° 1942. Took boys to H.S. Baked oatmeal cookies. Birthday party for Marian Kelley. My score 1020. Gave her plaque. 1943. Bake oatmeal + cereal cookies, mended, packed + sent Hans' laundry + cookies to him in Washington. Took Mrs [Hunkel?] Whalen, Schwenn, and Bis [Cluff?] to surprise Mrs Wermuth. I won slam. Score 22 n. Home at 12:15 1944. 0° Baked bread, mopped, finished shorts, sewed on quilt. Car wouldn't start, so shopped in Middleton in eve with Geo. Zeigler's, Farewell call on Dorothy Dosch. Frank sick. Finished "Burma Road" 1945. Wrote letter, went to my first meeting with Public Relations Comm. at R.C. Icy, almost rainy. Went to Dr. H. A. Latané, who gave me prescription for ecsema on my hand. I must keep it out of H2O. 45° 55° 1946. Fair Took Mrs. Barr to our first Circle C mtg. of WSCS. 8 of our 13 active members of 28 in circle there. We called on Mrs. Powell, Mrs. Oscar Ryder, and on Mrs. M. A. Ryder (at Mrs. Lunt's).
