JANUARY 10 1942. Very windy + cold. Frank home all day, slept till 4. Miss Z + I to Madison, 3-5:30 - but no Hans till Weideman's brought him out from train about 8. 1943. Z+I shoveled in front of garage in order to get out. We 4 went to church. 50 at S.S. 6 in my class, 7 in men's. visited - had "concert" in eve. 1944. Frank still ill at stomach. I took in his questionairre to Madison, got blue crepe for dress, + plastic bag. 4H organized at 4 at school - Janet pres Dolores vice p., Alice Sec. + Darleen Treas. Could get no cotton print. Read Air Flight Surgeon. 18° 25° 1945 Rode to airport in Hans' place with the Captains - Hans went to Pentagon for his physical exam. + shots for tetanus, typhoid, smallpox. Very cold where we worked. Served 53. Took nap when I got home. Rode with Mrs. Kay Barnidge. Hilda here. 45° 55° 1946. Fine + sunny for a change. Hung my washing all outdoors. Baked bread. Drove to Mrs. Gilliam's, 203 W Mason St. + got some goods for making dresses and sunsuits for Manila youngsters, we exchanged patterns therefor. Telephone strike on, so we couldn't get Hans to get projector for showing slides at Kirkpatrick's.
