JANUARY 16 1942. Much hoar frost - then sunny. Did cleaning, washed my hair, baked bread, made Red Cross skirt, started my filing space in cabinet. 1943 Juanita cleaned in AM. Helped Pauline finish K's red dress. She also worked on my blue blouse. Shopped in Middleton. 1943. Walked to church - not cold or windy, Mrs. Ruth brought me home, Frank up for first time in more than week Read "They Were Expendable" Hans phoned; I also talked to Hilda. 1945. Snowy rain. Went to Alex library eve. Finished Han's nightshirt, finished reading "A Bell for Adano". 18° 27° 1946. Got Han's birthday gifts- suspenders and garters. Mrs. Taylor rode to town with me. Cut another dress and sun suit. Read in "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn" in eve. My "psoriasis" spreading- is torture, so didn't go to WSCS in eve.
