JANUARY 24 1942. Mopped and did other cleaning. K had a lab exam. We were at M. W and Co. At 4 she and Frank began exchanging rooms. I helped clean, and move furniture- too much. 1943. 51 at SS. 6 in my class. Pauline stayed. Took Juanita B. who got Bible for year's perfect attendance at church. In P.M. Z, Pauline, Hans and I got Sig then went to see Doris and [illegible] Weideman. Sold her rug, desk, etc. Royce Goth's here in eve to buy place. Also Roberts' 1944. Baked raisin bread, choc. chip cookies and custard. Had Dr. Allen out for Frank. Finished Signe's pajamas. Frank met Hans on 7:50 bus - home for first since Nov. 8. August and Anna, Fred and Adele here an hr. before Aug's left for Dakota. 35° 43° 1945 Awake from 4 on but slept 9-11! Indigestion - sure feel punk. Baked bread. Got some buttermilk to drink, which helped. Packaged up what Han's mother couldn't take along - for her. Kathryn came out at 4. 18° 38° 1946 Hans feverish in night from shots of typhus, tetanus, and plague vaccine- but went to work. I was awake - with indigestion for a change! Sewed on Mrs. Gillian's machine from 10-3 then to Mrs. Marston's where I brought 11 feed packs! Hans and I to Fru Hanson in eve, then to see Ellen Story before she leaves for Middleton. Velma had 3 "baby girl the 22"
