FEBRUARY 6 1942. Began listening to WHA course in "Modern European History" MWF at 11. Prof. Chester Easum. Airmail from Hans. Sent one to Marian Stark. Took 7 to Emma H. Shopped a little. Heard Farm and Home discussion by Rockwell Smith of Garret Biblical Lust. and Kolb. Youth and the Church. 1943. Slept from 1 to 7:30. Snow and wind - a fine day to stay in. K got groc. at Cornwell's and milk and mail. Frank overate on pickles - Johnnie Miller came up and stayed over night. 1944. K and I to church and S.S. 50 there. Finished reading book on Finland. Wrote Signe. 1945 Hans and I rode up nearly to Conn. Ave. with a friendly driver, were at Fru Hanson's more than 2 hrs. Home on 12:30 bus. Hasty lunch. Hermine Schwarz talked to Pub. Rel. graph of Red Cross on her work in Eng. and Fr. I got Chem. heat pad for Hans, emb. needles for Signe. K. did my washing. 1946. Rode to Chinese class with Hans. Nasty day. Home at 12:45. Nap, ironed, studied
