FEBRUARY 17 1942 -6°. Took Frank to school. Ironed. Made honey choc. chip cookies. Got 1st prize at Mrs. Henkel's birthday party. Cold & windy. Score 2780. Got my own prize - little casserole. To farewell party for Dave Hallock at Sanborn's. 1943. Ironed, washed kitchen windows & put up clean curtains. Frank & I to Middleton, sent Hans a suit. Took nap. Made 2 wool-faced pressing cloths & renewed old farm Burnean bias. tape. maker. 1944. Pauline finished Kathryn's suit put bowed buttonholes in my plaid seersucker dress, & helped me cut out my blue splashy Easter gown. We did not go to Mrs. Henkel's birthday party at Lake view. 31° 34° 1945 Snowed all forenoon, but not cold. Baked bread & custards 2 letters from Sig - 1-20, & 2-5. On 1-20 she got 61 letters forwarded from Karachi including one I write in Oct. & 2 in Sept! 61° 1946 Fine day. We went to church. After dinner we took in a few things to put in Hans' foot locker, took pictures of Kosciusco & Steuben in Lafayette Park, also Hans his first movies at the airport. Did a no. of "last minute" things. Took snap of ATC -->
