FEBRUARY 21 1942. Baked whole wheat rolls & molasses spice crisps for guild bake sale. Lengthened Frank's pajamas. Not so cold, but not thawing. 1943. K & I to church - Rev. Stauke late - 53 at S.S. Mr. Rahmlow here for chicken dinner. He gave Frank a raise to 35, & 40 for summer. Called on Mrs. Buss. Wrote Hans. Dora, Pauline, card to Sig 1944. Made belt & shoulder pads for my new dress. Drove to Home Ec. Club at Mrs. M. W. Smith's, 1917 Vilas. Mrs. Agnes Leindorff talked on Trends in Housing & Furniture. Called on Mary MacKenzie & Emma Hadley. Typed news & comments & ad. 1945. After I hung out our washing - because workmen had my line out of basement, it began raining, so I had to dry all in house. K & I turned the 12x12 red rug over. I seamed up most of the dark green skirts, 10 yr. size. Began summarizing Wm Mortensen's dairy speech. 40° 1946. Sewed more than 4 hrs. on Filipino sunsuits. Mostly at Mrs. Gillian's. She & I worked together. Had flat on my 1 old tire so I left, on Russel Rd. Nice young man changed it for me, and I got home on the spare. Mrs. Norberg here. Worked on scrapbooks <2hrs or so.
