MARCH 5 1942. Waxed kitchen linoleum twice. Went to Madison, saw Signe, looked for blue suit for her & got some cottons. Called at Hazel's & Roberts' Took Hazel, Miss Z, Mrs. Roberts & Mrs. Kelley to Comm. church in eve. 1943 Planted my 2 Talisman roses in oatmeal boxes. Elsie & I went to Zeigler's - I packed out hog they dressed for me, & guessed within 3# of its weight. Called on Hazel, down with bronchitis. Shorted my new dress. 1944 Slept 8 hrs. straight. Mopped kitchen made jello salad. K & I went to church - Adele's here for dinner; she brought dessert. Gave her asp. fern. hanging plant, pillow, mirror, blue wastebasket, Grandma Roberts' table. Harry Hamilton's here for supper. 1945. Cloudy, almost rainy. Practised again at Mrs. Smith's. Sent Ewald's "Knut Gyldenstjerne" to Hans. Solicited 2 hrs. in P.M. Got $4, and 0 for 2 hrs. in eve.
