June 15
1942. Smallest washing this month. Mrs. Mictl picked 52 qt berries, Kathryn 20, + painted signs + sold 2 crates by roadside. I went to Middleton, signed up for 2 18.75 War Bonds a month, + for my canning sugar 28#
1943. Had devotions, recreation period (tunnel tag) + my regular DVBS class. Took 6 little boys, Dean + Buddy Davis, Dale Z, Hiram O'Kane + + Bobbie + Billie Call. Baked choc chip cookies, wrote RC + Ph Br news. Took Mrs Gray + Mrs. Utter to W. Club picnic at Sunset Rock. 9 there (members) + 4 children. Hoed all eve.
1944. Sent revised dansk letter to Elna Pedersen + til Husholdnigøraaden "Sødere poo Daggry". Hemmed 4th side of linen tablecloth.
1945. Rainy outside, so we visited about all day. Dora's rheumatism and arthritis a bad combination. Allan's all here in eve, then Victor + Florence, Marie + Karen. Didn't help Dora to have so much talking.
1946. A quiet day at Millie's, writing reading vacuuming "my cottage". Finished crocheting white edge on a hankie for MIllie, washed + pressed a few things.
