1942 Sulphured last of Jonathans. Cut out "Corny" night shirt for Hans and made it while pasteurizing 10 gal. of honey, while Hans and Frank extracted. 1943 Breakfast at Eau Claire. We stopped at Lafayette creamery. Blue Moon cheese factory at Thorp, and Lone Pine lunch and typing in Thorp Hotel. Phoned Sara James Klein then we found their place by 4. Mennonite boy working for them. Fine Holstein herd. L.T. home late. We talked till midnight. 1944 37 degrees 63 degrees Got letter from Sig in 9 days. Sunny and fine. Walked to County Market - but no Lux. Got some in 6th store I looked, after Sig's box was too heavy, and I had to wait in long que at P.O. twice. Worked 2 hr. at Red Cross. Sent Frank ft. pen. Hans saw frost. 1945 67 degrees Got letter from Sig (in 13 days) that she may be out Oct. 4. Cut out and made dress for Rosemary from blue and white seersucker scraps of Sig's. Had tummy pain so took it easy. Did ironing. 1946 Sunny weather holds. Did our washing, tho water none too hot. Typed some. We went up Ha Ta Men St. and I got pic of 2 Chinese sawyers. Walked back. Hans took pics of me and mums. We had a "kimono visit" at Miss Mosbask's in eve.
