1948. Weather crisp, an inch snow while I was at library in eve, which I shoveled off walk. Busy afternoon session at library—checked out 50 books. 1949. Weather turned soft, rain drizzle froze on roads, so Haus called off evening mtg. For Chinese pics. All but 2 of my 49 girls back after vacation. 37º 1950. We were thru washing by 10-I hung some in attic, in basement, & outdoors, but latter got wetter. To Woman’s Club in village hall in P.M—short program. Haus to work after 3 day weekend. F^2 1951 Snowed nearly all day. Ironed, swept snow, etc. Napped am hr. Went with Mrs. Kromney to Muehlmeier’s to see their new music room & kitchen. Greta served tea. Read in “The Emperor’s Physician.” 1º 1952. Sunny. Haus keeping books at Ph. Brauch Locker Co. I walked to “North Side,” called on Lois Johnson & Mrs. Alvin Groth came. Sold each galoshes in eve—Harry Joyce & Tietje, Greta & Helaine M, Bonnie Malcolm, Mrs. Raccoli, Donna & Susan.
