1948. Ironed. Another sunny day. Read some in "Big Ember" at library-18 books lent today. Hans + I got milk in eve. Wrote 7. He wrote note of sympathy to Carl "Pete's" widow. 1949. A spring like day, the ice thawing + road clear when I went home with [Sugden?]. Home 5:30. More mail, '15, Dr Morgan. 1950. Cold + windy. Went in on 8:20 bus, at Quisling Clinic 10-12. Dr. [Suerre?] Q. found I have anemia, hives, colitis + low blood pressure. Got teal faille for suit dress + yarn for Hans' mother. Walked to bakery. Began reading "Forgive us our Trespasses". -21° 1951. K + I drove to church, Hans came to S.S. Sunny. Frank not home from Rockford this week. Called off company for supper [(Sig + Deveu's)?] as we took Hans in to take bus to Antigo at 6: PM. 1952. Kim to Madison to stay at Sweets' again. Snow over night. Read, worked on third big piece of needlepoint-the new diagonal method.
