1948. Drove to church. We and Mr. & Mrs. Henderson went in on transfer of membership. 75 at S.S. Most I can remember here. We moved oak flooring from basement to 1st floor. 1949. Slept more than 8 consecutive hrs, so had a good day. A little snow covered ice. Calista Clark called off Woman's Club mtg. for tonight where I was to show pics. Too icy. [Name, Sophs?] prepared & served a luncheon for the 11 of us which helped me as I had slim hot lunch (baked [bean ?] day). 1950 Slept 8 hrs. straight, till 7:15, as Trav - alarm quit. Hans in on 7:40 bus. I helped his mother figure out crochet pattern for luncheon set for Hilda. Finished my faille skirt. Rained till 4 P.M. when sun peeped out. I shoveled icy slush off walks. 1951 Slept 8 hours or more, so felt fine. Took stencil Hans made to Hofstad's for Marian Smith to run off. At Homemakers' Center 10 to 3. Took my sewing machine for "Tailored finishes - belts, buckles etc. 23 (degrees symbol, probably degrees Fahrenheit) 1952 Snow & sleet. Hans at work 2 1/2 hrs in AM. I cleaned floors, Took him out in PM then in spite of rain, called on Mrs. Creasey, N. Miller, Wm. Chase, Jane Boyce, & Hazel. Georg Hofstad called in eve.
