-2 (degrees symbol, probably degrees F) 1948. Didn't sleep well. Walked to town in AM & PM. Baked apple raisin cake. Only 4 books borrowed at library - I readied 5 new books, also more for memorial shelf. 1949 In Sr. class, Ruth gave fine report on Home Nursing and Joanne on Choosing a Career. Came home at 4 & slept an hr - Ordered some films. Hans has headache but had evening class. 0 (degrees F) 1951 Didn't sleep till after 3:30 AM. then only 3 hrs. or so. Cooked a chicken at [name of some sort? Blasckke's] in PM. For "play rehearsal" - laughed so much I felt better. Tea. Mrs. Kruse's birthday. At Hofstad's in eve where we put programs together. 1952. We drove downtown on ice for Branch circulars. Sent order - Readied circulars 1 1/2 hrs. Baked birthday cake - Avis' Tutti-Frutti chocolate. Very icy. Sun in PM
