1948 Usual pattern - not quite so cold and about an inch snow in eve. Shopped, swept up baskets of scraps. In P.M. I took Fred Goth's place helping Hans nail knotty pine on living room wall. We went to Wittenburg's in eve, brought in curtains. 1949 Up late, cleaned apt. Baked cake. Too languid from fall to do much. Ice cream at Uold's. Left 5:20. spit snow all day. Finished reading "Cleft in the Rock." SUNNY 1950 Awake from 2 then we didn't wake till 6:35 but got Hans off on 7:10, then I slept until 9:20! Felt funk all day. Baked white bread. Adele here a little while. Did some needlepoint. 35º at noon 1951 2 more inches snow! Took Hans in to 7 A.M. bus to Appleton. Shoveled some walks - then slept till 9! Got my car stuck in driveway - all P.M. Lunch at Blaschke's for program Comm. We put on 2 skits = "Norm. Comm" + "Rummage Sale." I was Mrs. Dage in the lat. Mrs. Freefroff, 2 "diet." Pres. there. 1952 A little sun at last. Baked white raisin bread. Sent back Leora Davis' dress - but ordered 4 shirt -
