1948. Washed, hung clothes outside - then it got muddy. 2 plasterers came + put first coat on stairway. Larry making desk in den. I stained inside of desk in "Wren's Nest." Busy at library. Mild day. Gouber's laid plaster linoleums in bathrooms. 1949 Much snow thawed, streets sloppy + water high. Jr-Srs. helped plan a dinner for Hans' . . . + comm. next Wed. Helping girls with buttonholes, zippers, etc. I cut out skirt of royal blue suit for myself. St. Crossing high [c] water. 1950. Baked brown bread, oatmeal cookies, + date loaf - cleaned apt., shampooed hair. Put about 9 lb. beef liver in locker. 1951 K + I drove to church. 105 at S.S. Deone + Edith K + I handed out 400 or so tickets to pancake supper to be sold. H. Uold + we went to St. Mary's at 4 to see Minnie who had sat up hr. Anna May came out with us, via bell line road. 1952 Awake at 3:30 AM for 2 hrs. - much gas. Drove to Quisling's 9 to 11:45. Dr. S. found sore spot - intercostal neuralgia. Got shot + vibrator treatment, 3 medicines, (1 iron). Ordered 11 turkeys out of freezer at Brauch Co. to thaw.
