February 22 1948 Rev. [?]Stouke[?] back at church. Only 61 at S.S. + $5.60 collection. Hans & I cleaned up some rooms. In eve we saw youth mtg. movie "In the beginning". Madison meth. group out. 1949 [?]Srs. & Jrs. [?] made salads and chocolate cakes for tomorrow's dinner - [?]Sophie[?] & others saw [?]Fostonia's[?] "Crystal Clear|. In PM & eve heard Mr. & Mrs. Joe Mahatka talk on China. 1950. Slept little before 2 so slept till 8L15. Hans was home all day. on holiday. I baked bread, made apron for grandma, using my machine binder for first time. In eve was guest of sewing group of the newcomers' Club at Mrs. "Chuck" Owens, 2101 Maywood Ave., talked on "Tricks of the Trade" 1951. Slept about 10 hrs! Called on Lois Malcolm in AM, as she needed W. Club. Constitution. Hoarfrost on trees. We packed box for Marie Radtke, drove to Brauch [?]lockerCo[?]. Hans home all day. 1952. Fine sunny day, began thawing snow. Ironed. In PM drove to Branch, delivered 2 church annuals. Hans discouraged because not improving much. Got gray coat for under $[smudge] at F. F.
