FEBRUARY 23 1948. Helped clean my kitchen from its [waks?] of plaster mess and men lay plywood floor and began flooring hall with oak. K took my place at library at 4:30. At 5:10 Hans and I left for Baraboo. Supper at Adele's. We showed Chinese pics to AA UWal Comm. Center. $18! 1949 Busy day. Srs and Jrs cooked dinner for Han's Veteran's and comm and stuffed potatoes and celery, ham loaf, sti. beans au gratin, b.p. biscuit, golden glow salad, choc. cake and coffee. Freshman still lining up dresses, Sophs. had to finish up dishes. 1950 Finally got shirt and top of grandma's blue paisley dress to together. To PO in PM. Sent 3 Wis Agriculturists to Chris Jespersen with Hans' Danish farm article. Robert Owen Leffler born. 1951 K and I drove to Zeiglei's just before lunch. In P.M to Madison to get Hans at 3:30 as he had headache. Read in "The Adventurer". 1952 Wakeful 3:00-5:00 felt [punk?]. Hans helped get out circulars and in PM with checks. Didn't go to John Salchenberger's funeral in Madison.
