MARCH 2 1948 SNOW! Nearly all day. I shoveled walks twice. Woman's Club postponed a week, which I went to Schwenn's to find out about. I baked bread, swept after sanding before sanders sealed upstairs apt. My blue plastic desk top came. It's fine. Mr. and Mrs. Rodl paid 1st week's rent. Carpenters finish inside. 1949. Marie Oleson [heul?] her food, so Betty Arneson took her place, she and Eva working on demonstration, "How to Pull in Zippers". Jeanette Brokaw here in eve. Will be out 10 days. -8 degrees 1950 Coldest 24 hrs. of winter. I finally got buttonhole to work and made 5 for grandma's flannel bed jacket, no.70 cotton. So now free to get at my teal faille jacket. done all but sleeves. Got and wrote 7. Wallie and Lois moved to 2029 Elmwood. 1951 Took 131.78 to bank, net on pancake supper. Froze. Snow all P.M. about 6" got waxer from Scott's. K cleaned and waxed floors where Wested's moved out. I cleaned woodwork, polished furniture, hung up 3 [pr?] plastic curtains. 1952 Slept c Hans as K and her grandma in my bed, Frank in took Teeple's upstairs. They brot me eggs and apples. I had charge of adult current events discussion at S.S. Dinner before noon for 8 as snow came about 2". Teeple's left for home. I slept 1 1/2 hrs. Filled some cracks in Gugel's rooms.
