MARCH 3 1948 Sun shone a little. More shoveling. Waded deep snow to hang part of washing. Only 1 painter and 2 sanders here. Very busy at library. 1/3 books today were non-fiction! Mrs. Kruse here a few min. 1949 Phone call fro Lane Rock that FHA [denis?] postponed till Mon. Gave Z makeup exams. Report cards out. 1950 Drove Frank's car to P.O twice to get box off to Anna Bunge, Berlin. Sewed sleeves in jacket and bound them. Baked bread and rolls, froze a loaf. 1951 Baked bread and cookies. Peggy Gugel moved in. Hans home 12:30 AM from Whitehall very sick all day; headache bad. I cut linoleum to fit orange crate cupboard in Peggy's "pantry" and cleaned 2 Olson rugs for them. 1952 Filled cracks till 12. Ella Retten came. Hans upstairs to see her and ate lunch in kitchen 12:30. Sudden heart attack 12:50. Mr. Vold came while I phoned Mr. Guiber who came soon. I sent telegrams to Hilda, Herman, August, Helene, phoned to Dom, Geroge, neighbords brought in food. Sig came from infirmary, K, and Frank. Snow
