MARCH 9 12 degrees 1948. Sunny. Clothes I hung outside froze but dried. Rode with Grayce Vass and Mrs. Allen to Mrs. Dickson's for postponed Club. Fine mtg. Gave annual library report. Acted as sec. Said "No" to being on Program Comm. but Mr. Kromrey in eve wangled me into a broadcasting panel for next week. 1949. Skift of snow. Lunch reports in for February. Eva and Marie gave zipper dem. and Ruth on balanced food for one day. Sophs and I heard 5 serious [declanis?] then they made cream puffs. I tucked gray chambray c tucker. 1950 Frank back to work on his night shift. I slept 11-6:30, so feeling fine. Sewed up red rayon and velveteen cushion for Hilda. Heard Reuk of Sun Prairie at so-called Farmers' Institute at theater. Got garden seeds and divided them. 1951. K cleaned house. Hans in to office for first full day this week. Got 2 yd. lav. check gingham for "Lille Clara" and sent box to Denmark. Owen at Holmes Bros. Open house in P.M. Kae and Bobby here, and all for supper, then to W. Board. 1952 I slept slightly more than my usual 4 1/2 hrs. this week. K, Mrs. Murray, Mother S and I to church. Back seat - I couldn't stay to greet the people. Helene's carnations, Lois J's roses, and Ehlers' huge basket of glads, starks, jonquils there. Got more cards to send! Frank drove back to Rockford. Sig back to Madison in eve.
