MARCH 11
-9 degrees. 1948 Finally a day at home. Hans and I put up window shades and "tiger lily" curtains in Roadt's rooms. Mr. [name] connected their plumbing and I cleaned windows and bath room, vacuumed studio couch, painted K's bed.
1949. Short periods and school out at 12:30. I had 1st he. assembly and had charge of Sr. Social Probs. class for Mr Scott who went to a principal's mtg. Went home at 1 with H. Sugden. Matilda and sister Mrs. Suringle went along. I sewed in P.M.
1950 Ironed 7 shirts, did cleaning, baked oatmeal cookies. Hans and I worked on income tax until my head nearly spun.
1951 K and I drove to church. 10 in my S.S. class. Sig came at 2, here till 6:15. Girls beat me in Canasta. 5 for supper.
1952 Sunny again! No sleep 3:30-5:30. I made out OPS report for Branch Co. out there. Good nap after lunch. 4 callers in P.M: Mary Sholts! Leora Davis, Rev. Wierniel and Verna Vath. Made out Comm. Life Ins. Co. blank, typed Guild notice, etc. K had too much cold to work. She sanded spots out upstairs.
